Malaria kills. Godiya lost her 3-month-old pregnancy due to malaria. We have now taught women of this community the dangers of malaria and how it can be avoided. Dunes Foundation believes that Malaria-free families lead to healthier, happier, and productive communities.

Our needs assessment at Wassa Community revealed that Malaria was one of the diseases affecting families. As a result, we set to increase their understanding of Malaria and also promote the utilization of malaria prevention methods especially the use of insecticide and treated mosquito nets. Considering the dangers associated with Malaria, especially for pregnant women and children, it is crucial we all join the fight to end malaria by strengthening community capacity to enhance malaria prevention and control, till we reach the Zero Malaria Target.
